Acacia Therapy offers a structured and tailored graduate program to ensure that you have the best possible start to your new career. We are recruiting for Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists for 2024.
Acacia Therapy is committed to ensuring that your transition from university to work is a smooth transition. This is why we have developed a comprehensive and industry-leading new graduate program.
When you join Acacia Therapy as a new graduate you will be joining a team of passionate and fun-loving team that is committed to helping you succeed.
What does the Acacia Therapy Graduate program look like?
- You will be paired with an experienced supervisor who will meet with you each week to provide you with clinical support and to guide your professional development.
- You will join your peers in a fortnightly Peer Review Group. This group is facilitated by a senior practitioner and is aimed at providing a place for collaboration and joint exploration of a range of pressing clinical areas of interest.
- You will participate and contribute to our monthly Journal Club. The Journal Club is aimed at ensuring that new research is shared amongst and discussed so that Acacia Therapy is at the forefront of new evidence and its implementation.
- You will participate and contribute to our monthly Inservice. Our inservice provides you with the opportunity to present to the team on an area of clinical interest.
- You will shadow other team members for the first couple of weeks of your time with Acacia Therapy. This gives you the opportunity to build your communication skills and confidence, prior to having your own caseload.
- You will receive a comprehensive introduction to community practice, the NDIS, our policies and procedures. This means you will have the confidence and knowledge to get your career started in the best possible way.
